Competition Theme
Welcome to the "Shape the Future of Mobility" Design Competition.
Tomorrow’s world requires mobility solutions that are smarter, cleaner, and more efficient. We are calling on innovative minds to design the future of transportation using Autodesk Fusion.
In this competition, you will:
- Envision the Unseen: Design breakthrough concepts for future mobility—from personal electric vehicles to advanced aerial transport.
- Master the Tools: Use Autodesk Fusion to bring your ideas to life. Utilize its seamless CAD modeling, generative design, and simulation capabilities to ensure your concept is not only beautiful but functionally viable.
- Impact the Future: Showcase your design to industry experts and prove how your mobility solution can create a more connected and sustainable world.
Step into the designer's seat. Your journey to shaping the future of mobility starts here.
Rules & Guidelines
- Must be currently enrolled university/college students in the APAC region.
- Projects must be designed primarily using Autodesk Fusion.
- Team size: 1 to 3 members per team.
Key Timeline
- Jun 1, 2026: Registration Begins
- Nov 15, 2026: Finalists Announced
- Jan 12~15, 2027: Final Pitch Event
Scoring Criteria
-
Innovation (30%): Creativity and Originality of the Concept
- Problem-Solving: Does the design provide an innovative solution to a real-world challenge?
- Conceptual Breakthrough: Does the work push the boundaries of traditional design rather than simply iterating on existing products?
- Uniqueness: Does the entry demonstrate a distinct personal style or a fresh perspective that stands out from commercial norms?
- Visual Balance: Evaluation of proportions, color palettes, and material choices to ensure a harmonious aesthetic.
- Design Consistency: Whether the stylistic language is unified across all details of the project.
- Ergonomics & Form: Does the "form follow function"? The design should be visually intuitive and consider the end-user’s physical interaction.
- Modeling Logic: Effective use of Parametric Modeling and a clean, organized design timeline for easy adjustments.
- Geometric Complexity: Skillful application of advanced techniques such as T-Spline (Freeform) modeling, complex lofts, and precision filleting.
- Structural Integrity: Consideration of manufacturing feasibility, including interference checks, wall thickness consistency, and assembly logic.
- Rendering Excellence: High-quality use of lighting, textures, and environments (HDR) to create a realistic and professional visual output.
- Technical Documentation: Use of Exploded Views, section analysis, or animations to clearly demonstrate internal structures and mechanisms.
- Storytelling: The ability to communicate the design journey—from the initial concept and sketches to the final 3D model—in a compelling and professional layout.
- Cloud Collaboration: Mentioning how they used Fusion’s cloud environment for version control.
- AI Integration: Showcasing how Generative Design or AI-driven insights influenced their final technical decisions.
Aesthetic (30%): Visual Appeal, Harmony, and User-Centric Design
Technical Skill (20%): Accuracy and Degree of Difficulty in Autodesk Fusion
Presentation (20%): Visual Execution and Communication of the Idea
